TERRE HAUTE —
Indiana State led early but North Dakota State came back for a 4-2 victory Sunday in ISU’s final game at the Bulldog Invitational softball tournament.
“What’s been great the past couple of weeks is that we have played teams with winning traditions,” coach Shane Bouman said. “They know how to win and we are still learning how to win. Every day we are improving. I like where we are going and we are are looking forward to conference play in a little over a week.” Morgan Allee led off the game hit by a pitch and scored the first run on a wild pitch, a sacrifice by Halee Myers and a squeeze bunt by Shelby Wilson.
After the Bison tied the score in the bottom of the first, ISU took a 2-1 lead in the second on a hit by Ashley Dickerson, a sacrifice by Meredith Henriksen and a fielder’s choice by Kelsey Montgomery. The Bison got a three-run homer in the fifth for the winning runs. Next action for the Sycamores is a doubleheader at Southeast Missouri State on March 13.
* Entire series canceled — At Richmond, Ky., snowy conditions and frigid temperatures forced the cancellation of Indiana State’s entire series at Eastern Kentucky. The Sycamores begin a four-game homestand Wednesday against Indiana.
* DePauw hosting — DePauw has been selected as one of four hosts in the NCAA Division III women’s tournament this week.

University (22-5) against the host Tigers (30-0). The championship game is Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for senior citizens each day.
