Go Green! Free community electronics recycling event coming up Aug. 13

TERRE HAUTE — Honey Creek Mall is teaming up with 5R Processors, Ltd. of Ladysmith, Wis., to help Terre Haute and the surrounding communities properly dispose of their household electronics equipment. 5R will be set up in the Sears parking lot at Honey Creek Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 13, where they will be accepting any old or obsolete electronics equipment. Additionally, 5R will be providing Department of Defense approved hard drive cleansing for only $10. The event is open to the public and 5R is accepting residential equipment only.  5R will be accepting most consumer electronics and home office equipment including: computers, monitors, laptops, printers, televisions, cell phones, microwaves, white goods and more. Freon containing units such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers are not being accepted.
