TERRE HAUTE — Terre Haute

Wyndmoor offers independent living

The Wyndmoor Retirement Community now has independent living apartments. For eight years the apartment complex has only been an assisted living facility.

“We decided to take a closer look at independent living after we had received several inquires,” said Beth Clark, Wyndmoor executive director.

The Wyndmoor is at 1465 E. Crossing Blvd. on the south side of Terre Haute just north of Allendale.

Independent living apartments offer an outside entrance and garage space. Studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments are available. All utilities except for phone service is included in the rental price. A meal plan is available. Maintenance is also included in the rental price.

The assisted living at Wyndmoor offers a nurse on duty seven days a week. This service allows residents to stay in their home at The Wyndmoor for a longer time.

The Wyndmoor also has security to help with peace of mind.

For a tour of The Wyndmoor or more information call (812) 298-9963.

Facebook Fan page

The Small Business Development Center in conjunction with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and Tech Haute will  host a “How to Build a Killer Facebook Fan Page” seminar from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Chamber of Commerce office at  630 Wabash Ave., Room 105.

A fancy page does not equal a successful networking channel for businesses. This seminar will help participants get started — and show interactive fan page tactics that can improve Facebook marketing using input from existing fans.

The cost for this seminar is $10 and includes lunch. To register visit  www.meetup.com/Tech-Haute. For additional information, contact Bryan Jackson at bryan@brickhouseapps.com.
