PARIS, Ill. —
The University of Illinois Extension, Illinois Century Network and Broadband Illinois are hosting a meeting to discuss high speed Internet development at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Edgar County Extension office, 210 W. Washington St., in Paris.
The meeting will give leaders, businesses, residents and providers a chance to network and discuss better high speed Internet (broadband) for the Edgar County area. Discussion will include the Illinois Century Network’s Fiber Build Project along Illinois 16 from Mattoon to Paris and then down Illinois 1 from Paris to Marshall.
This meeting is open to nonprofits, municipalities, schools, hospitals, businesses, Internet providers and the general public.
