TERRE HAUTE — Jeffry A. Lind advanced to the office of president-elect of the Indiana State Bar Association at its annual meeting Nov. 6. His term will expire in October, after which he will become president of the association. As president, he will represent more than 12,000 bar association members, the single largest legal organization in the state.
Lind, of Terre Haute, is an attorney at the law firm Fleschner Stark Tanoos & Newlin, where he focuses on business representation and general civil litigation, including plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 1985 and his juris doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 1988. Lind was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1988 and has practiced in Terre Haute since. He is also admitted to the Illinois bar (2002) and the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
Lind is an active member of the Terre Haute (president, 2001-02), Indiana State (vice president, 2008-09) and American bar associations. He has served on the Indiana Supreme Court Commission for Continuing Legal Education, board of directors for the Indiana Continuing Education Forum, vice chair of the Indiana Supreme Court’s Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts Technical Committee and president of the Indiana Bar Foundation.
