TERRE HAUTE — Mark J. Fuson of Fuson Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac & GMC Trucks, was recently selected as the Automobile Dealers Association of Indiana’s 2009 Herman R. Goodin Civic Service Award winner.
Fuson is carrying on the tradition set by his father, Esten Fuson, who received the same award in 1994.
The Herman Goodin Civic Service Award was established in 1952 in memory of Herman R. Goodin, the first president of the Automobile Dealers Association of Indiana. Goodin died while serving our country as a colonel in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps during World War II. His many business, civic and patriotic activities formed the model for annually choosing a dealer to be recognized for similar accomplishments.
Mark Fuson has been in the family owned new car business for more than 30 years.
His dealership is at 4325 U.S. Highway 41 South. He is the third generation in his family to be in the franchised new vehicle business.
Fuson is active in various charities, organizations and civic activities throughout the community.
He and his wife Susan have been married for 30 years. They have three children: daughter Mary, 22, and twins David and Grace, 21.
