TERRE HAUTE — Local merchants have come to together to launch a new event downtown. Haute Marche will feature a variety of items, from clothing to cupcakes, and incorporate non-profit organizations.
The first of three monthly events is 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 683 Wabash Ave. (above The Corner Grind). Participating merchants include Cocoa Boutique, Modern Charm, Nicole Hawkins Interior Designs, Stephanie Egan featuring Jane Iredale cosmetics, Roxy Studio, Dawn Levy skin care, The Verve and more. Drawings for various door prizes are planned.
The featured nonprofit organization for October is Share your Thanksgiving. Bring a canned food item to the event and receive a 10-percent discount ticket good at each vendor the evening of the event. Future events are Nov. 24 and Dec. 17. Future events are scheduled regularly on the last Thursday of every month. Each event will incorporate a nonprofit organization and offer different experiences based on the time of year (e.g., music, sampling, services). Visit www.hautemarche.net for more information.
