Habitat names ReStore manager

Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity has announced changes at the ReStore at 19th Street and Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute.

Pat Brown, who has headed the affiliate’s construction sites for the past five years, will now oversee the ReStore in his new role as construction/ReStore manager.

Brown and the “Grumpies,” a dedicated group of retired volunteers, have plans to revamp the store to maximize floor space for merchandise.

The ReStore sells new and used materials at a low price and is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and from 9 to 6 p.m. on Friday. All proceeds from the ReStore help Habitat build more houses for low-income families in need of decent, affordable shelter.

To donate new or gently used materials or to ask about volunteer opportunities, contact Dacia Barker, assistant manager, at 812-232-9200 or dbarker@wvh4h.org.

All donations are tax deductible.
