First Financial Bank announces website redesign, mobile upgrade

Customers can use apps, available for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry

TERRE HAUTE — First Financial Bank launched its renovated website on Jan. 10.

“We’re excited about unveiling our site’s new appearance, but we’re even more excited about the capabilities it brings to our customers,” said Norman L. Lowery, CEO and vice-chairman of First Financial Corp.

The new site allows customers to do their banking, pay bills, locate First branches and ATMs, find product information and get the latest news from First Financial.

“Advances in web design layout and best practices for online banking change constantly, and it is important for us to stay current with these practices,” Lowery said.

“We want to create a great first impression for visitors to our site; however, more importantly, we want the absolute best for our customers,” he said.

Another major upgrade to First Financial’s banking was rolled out on Tuesday.

In addition to accessing accounts through the bank’s mobile website and text messaging, customers can use custom mobile banking apps, available for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry smart phones.

“Our customers have expressed an interest in mobile banking apps and we’re happy to give them that choice,” Lowery said. “We worked hard to make sure our mobile apps deliver the ease of use and reliability customers expect.” The bank’s mobile website has been also redesigned to coincide with the launch of mobile apps.

“As smart phones continue to capture a larger share of the cell phone market, we expect the demand for mobile banking to grow,” Lowery said.

“Our goal is to provide our mobile customers with safe, secure and dependable banking services via their phones just as they do at First Financial branches,” he said.
