Dorsett Auto Sales buys Terre Haute Hyundai-Nissan

TERRE HAUTE — Romain Automotive Group announced the sale of its Terre Haute Hyundai-Nissan business to Dorsett Auto Sales Inc. of Terre Haute in an email release today from Romain Automotive General Manager Bill Lutes.

“We are excited about the opportunities this sale affords us,” said Amy Romain, vice president of Romain Automotive. “We are retaining our Terre Haute Chevrolet business and focusing right now on bringing about significant changes to align with General Motors’ exciting reimaging of dealerships nationwide.

“We will retain ownership of the existing Hyundai-Nissan property and move to develop the entire 15-acre site when the new owner moves the Hyundai-Nissan dealership to a brand new location in the future,” Romain added. “I am confident this will be well received by the community as one of the premier business locations in Terre Haute as we redevelop it in a first-class manner.”

Lutes added his excitement of returning to the Terre Haute Chevrolet dealership after leading the Terre Haute Hyundai-Nissan location for Romain Automotive. “I have been a part of the Romain organization for over 15 years and am thrilled to be able to continue offering world-class service to our Terre Haute customers,” he said.

Founded in 1964, Romain Automotive Group is part of United Companies, annually named by Indiana Business Magazine as one of Indiana’s Top 50 Largest Private Companies, comprised of United Leasing Inc., Professional Transportation Inc., and the Romain Automotive Group which owns and operates new and pre-owned car dealerships in Evansville and Terre Haute.
