The Bon-Ton Stores Inc., which operates Carson’s, is planning its Community Days fundraising event for Nov. 9 and 10.
Nonprofit groups are now selling savings booklets to raise money. Donors can purchase a savings booklet online at bonton.com or communitydayevent.com and direct the funds to the participating organization of their choice. Booklets will be mailed to donors.
The savings booklets contain more than $400 in savings on in-store and online merchandise and can be used Nov. 9 and Nov. 10.
Groups may still sign up at www.communitydayevent.com. Eligible Community Day organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and schools. Nonprofit groups sell savings booklets for a $5 donation to support their group and, in return, the purchaser receives the booklet of offers. The organization keeps 100 percent of the $5 donation.
