Irving Haber at 1818 N. Third St. in Terre Haute announces that he is the first physician in the Wabash Valley to offer on-site digital imaging with the new Sonosite Sonogram machine. The Sonosite is a compact medical imaging device that uses real time, high-resolution ultrasound imagery. This innovative system is unique because it allows the patient to move an affected joint during the sonogram so the patient and Haber can view the problematic joint in action.
The Sonosite imagery system also provides precise visualization to pinpoint needle placement for injection therapy with striking image quality of the target and surrounding anatomy.
This new machine often eliminates the need, time lapse and expense of CAT scans and MRIs. The system was developed for military use in combat and is now widely used in the field by professional sports teams.
