TERRE HAUTE — A longtime Terre Haute chiropractor and businessman is starting a new business designed to help others run their own businesses and their lives more successfully.
Bart Anderson, who opened Anderson Chiropractic in Terre Haute in 1992, has joined The Growth Coach, a franchised business coaching service based in Cincinnati.
“We want to see it impact Terre Haute,” Anderson said of his new business venture. The goal of The Growth Coach, which has more than 130 franchisees in the U.S. and Canada, is to help executives of small and medium-sized businesses run their lives and their businesses more successfully.
Often, small business owners have trouble balancing their personal and professional lives, Anderson said. The Growth Coach provides a system for bringing those things into balance while improving business performance, he said.
“The owner tries to be everything” for his or her business, said Don Miller, Anderson’s coaching partner and a longtime business executive. “He loses his life.”
Fees for The Growth Coach services vary greatly depending on the needs of business owners and professionals, Anderson said. Some clients need only once-quarterly coaching sessions while others will want more intensive coaching “in order to move their business and life to the next level,” he said.
On average, The Growth Coach fees will be between $250 and $500 per month, Anderson said.
The Growth Coach, established in 2002, has been listed by Entrepreneur Magazine among the top 500 franchises in the United States for the past five years. There is a franchise fee to enter the business, but no overhead costs, according to TheFranchiseMall.com.
The franchise offers exclusive territory for owners. Anderson’s territory includes the Wabash Valley and the west side of Indianapolis.
“The process that we teach is a strategic mindset,” Miller said. The Growth Coach system “definitely works on personal growth.”
