Lunch with a Lawyer slated for Monday at Senior Center

TERRE HAUTE — Senior Education Ministries, Inc. has scheduled Lunch with a Lawyer on the third Monday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wabash Senior Activity Center at 300 S Fifth St.

Lunch with a Lawyer is a free educational program that welcomes the senior public to hear the lawyer of the month provide an educational legal presentation during lunch.

The Lunch with a Lawyer program was designed to allow the seniors to get out of their homes, fellowship with their peers, extend their available financial resources, promote enhanced living and educate them (from a preventative standpoint) with the goal of ensuring their quality of life and providing them with the resources to make informed decisions.

Attorney Janet C. Stavropoulos is this month’s guest. Stavropoulos attended the Indiana University at Bloomington School of Law and in 1995 was admitted to the Indiana Bar. She concentrates her practice in elder law, medicaid planning, supplemental needs trusts, estate planning, immigration and naturalization law, probate and estate administration, and wills.

A brief question and answer period will follow the presentation.

Lunch will be complimentary and provided courtesy of Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville.

This month’s Mission Moment will feature West Central Indiana Economic Development District Inc. (Area 7 Agency on Aging). West Central Indiana Economic Development District’s Programs on Aging is the point of entry for in-home services for the elderly and disabled. An array of programs and services are provided to allow the individual to remain in their home.

Area 7 Agency on Aging also will be sharing a presentation on Medicare fraud.

Space is limited and reservations are required. RSVP by calling (812) 232-7575.
