ON THE MOVE: Feb. 10, 2013

The Indiana State University Foundation’s board of directors has approved four Indiana State alumni as new members of the board. The new directors are Dan Doan of Terre Haute, Todd Osburn of Chicago, Jim Sunday of Indianapolis and Jeff Taylor of Carmel.

“All of these individuals have been active and engaged with Indiana State in a variety of capacities,” said Ron Carpenter, foundation president. “Each brings a unique perspective to our board and to advancing the mission of the foundation.”

Kimberly Smith, vice chair and chair-elect of the board, said the four new members bring the number of active directors to 38, as the foundation continues to involve more alumni.

Doan earned a master’s degree in business administration in 1982 and works as regional chief executive officer of Old National Bank. Doan has also served as a commercial banking executive and Indianapolis region president. He was actively involved in the bank’s recent $250,000 commitment to ISU supporting the Old National Bank financial health classroom in the Scott College of Business and the Old National Bank financial literacy program.

Osburn is a 1985 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a partner at Greyrock Capital Group, a middle-market corporate finance company. Osburn has also worked for Continental Illinois Bank where he held a variety of positions in middle-market corporate finance. Osburn serves as member of the ISU Foundation’s Sycamore Foundation Holdings board.

Taylor completed his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1975. He is a vice president with Pearson plc, the world’s largest education company. He has held leadership positions within the company since 2000, including president of Pearson, Inc., the U.S. holding company of Pearson plc. From 1994 to 2000, he was vice president and chief financial officer of National Computer Systems, an education testing and software company.

Sunday is also a graduate of the Scott College of Business and owns his own insurance company, Jim Sunday Insurance Agency in Carmel. His agency, affiliated with Nationwide Insurance, is licensed in four states, specializing in home, auto, life and business insurance. Sunday has played an active role within the Indiana State University Alumni Association board of directors serving as a past president and is involved with the Central Indiana Blood Center, Habitat for Humanity and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
