Company wins award for holiday card

TERRE HAUTE — MillerWhite Marketing’s 2011 holiday card has been honored by the International Academy of the Visual Arts with a Silver W3 Award, the firm’s second W3 Award in as many years. The interactive e-card, “Swami Santa,” was chosen in the “rich media” category. It predicts a viewer’s perfect holiday gift based on answers to a series of personality-based choices. It can be viewed at www.millerwhite.com/2011.

The W3 Awards honor creative excellence on the web and recognize the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning websites, web video and online marketing programs. It is the first major web competition to be accessible to agencies regardless of their size. This year the W3 Awards received more than 3,000 entries from firms in the United States and around the world.

MillerWhite, which has created its own holiday greetings for clients, vendors and friends since it was established in 1980, has won 16 awards for its holiday cards in the last 18 years.

All the cards are displayed on the firm’s website at www.millerwhite.com/

  • Naysayers should treat good news as good news

I like to complain as much as anybody else. In truth, I may do more than my share of finding fault and wagging a finger in warning. Nonetheless, I’m tired of commentators (including many economists) who find nothing good and only the darkest clouds for the past few months.
