TERRE HAUTE —
The Wabash Valley is hosting the first Terre Haute Startup Weekend from Friday through Feb. 10 at Indiana State University’s Scott College of Business.
During an intense 54-hour period, participants will learn how to pitch an idea, create a business foundation, launch a website and network with community and industry professionals to make the idea work.
Friday evening begins with pitching business ideas and forming teams. Beginning Saturday morning, teams work with mentors to fine tune and research their business ideas. Saturday afternoon, teams develop plans, websites, prototypes and more. Then on Feb. 10, teams polish presentations and present them to a panel of judges for prizes.
The weekend is made for those who have had a business idea and want to see if it works. The event engages participants to build and develop a lasting foundation that will be applied to virtually any industry or idea.
High school and college student tickets are $25; general admission is $50. Enter TERREHAUTETECH for $20 off general admission tickets.
