Baesler’s Market carrying Mister Buck’s Pet Food

TERRE HAUTE — Baesler’s Market is now carrying Mister Buck’s Pet Food in Baesler’s stores in Terre Haute, Linton and Sullivan.

Mister Buck’s Genuinely Good Pet Food Company of Bloomfield donates a portion of every sale to local animal rescue groups and law enforcement K9 units in the counties where the product is sold.

“This means that every sale has a local benefit,” said Edgar Saldivar, Mister Buck’s customer service manager. “Not only can the consumer buy a very high-quality pet food for a very good price, but they are also helping animal welfare organizations right in their own community.”

K9 units in Terre Haute, Sullivan, Linton and Bloomfield benefit. The company also supports Harmony Haven animal rescue in Terre Haute, the Sullivan County Humane Society and the Greene County Humane Society.

Mister Buck’s was started to feed 15 rescued greyhounds at GBARK, a rescue in Bloomfield. As more people learned of the product, the company was born. Sales first were done over the Internet, followed by at small grocery chains. In March, Marsh Supermarkets picked up the line. It is also sold by Schnucks and Wesselman’s Supermarkets, both in Southern Indiana.

In 2011 the company returned more than $10,000 to humane societies in Indiana.
