Clinton Chamber plans annual dinner

CLINTON — The Greater Clinton Chamber of Commerce annual dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the B & K Castle Restaurant, 1600 N. 7th St., in Clinton.

The program for the annual meeting will feature a presentation and discussion of the Mobile School-Based Health Center by Elizabeth Burrows, executive director of the Vermillion-Parke Community Health Center. The mobile clinic is expected to enhance the health and well-being of Vermillion and Parke county parents and students by providing a full range of health care services, so students can avoid health-related absences and get additional support to succeed in the classroom. It will greatly impact students in the school systems as it will regularly make stops at all local schools.

The Chamber also will honor and announce three annual awards; Business of the Year, Member of the Year, and Board Member of the Year.

“It is very important that we pause to recognize chamber members and their contributions to the chamber and the community,” said John E. Lang, chamber president. “Equally important is the chamber’s role in helping the community recognize the valuable services offered by one of our members. Better Healthcare availability will increase the quality of life in our community and make us more attractive for new businesses and residents.”

The annual dinner is open to the public and all those that are interested in improving the business, economy and quality of life in the greater Clinton area. There is a fee to attend the annual dinner featuring a variety of menu choices. To make reservations, contact the Chamber at (765) 832-3844.
