INDIANAPOLIS — Determining the fundraising needs and abilities of nonprofit organizations is essential to financial success, especially in the context of the changing economy. The Indiana Youth Institute (www.iyi.org) is offering a workshop across Indiana designed to help nonprofit leaders assess and improve organizational fundraising plans.

Fund development staff, executive directors, grants managers, board members and other organization leaders in nonprofit management are encouraged to register and attend the workshop “The New Normal: Updating Your Fund Development Plan for Today’s Economy.” Each workshop will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time in Merrillville (Aug. 10), Fort Wayne (Aug. 17), Indianapolis (Aug. 18), New Albany (Aug. 24) and Jasper (Aug. 25).

This workshop will help participants learn how to diversify their funding base and understand and implement new trends in fundraising.

The session will be taught by Barbara Talisman, vice president of The Pursuant Group.
