• Wright Implement Company, Inc., with John Deere dealerships in Williamsport, Crawfordsville, and Rockville, is pleased to announce that Scott Williams has joined their service technician forces at the Crawfordsville store.
Scott is a 2004 graduate of Western Boone High School and attended Ivy Tech after high school. Scott was previously employed with Bill Estes Ford and Bill Estes Chevrolet dealerships in the Indianapolis area, as a service technician. He has also worked in a family business, Williams Tool & Die in Jamestown, for several years.
Scott presently lives in Crawfordsville and will be assigned to that location as a service technician. His duties will be to begin training as a combine and planter technician. Later, he will probably also assume some tractor and lawn & garden service responsibilities as well.
• Olympus Media LLC Indianapolis location is proud to announce their newest Market Manager Becki Coltharp of Knightsville. Accepting the position of Region 2 market manager is something Coltharp has looked forward to for several years after beginning her career with the Brazil Times in 1995 and moving on to television with WTWO Channel 2 in 2001, and most recently with Midwest Communications Inc. (100.7 Mix-FM) in 2005.
Coltharp will be handling counties she is familiar with such as Clay, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion and Vigo and exploring opportunities into many surrounding counties. Growing up in Brazil and graduating from Northview High School in 1989, she is a familiar face to many.
She is married to Doug Coltharp and is the mother of Alex and Kreig Wallen. • George Rogers, chairman of the board of directors, announced upcoming changes at Citizens National Bank, Paris, Ill., with president Chris Eldredge and Bill Minnis. Eldredge will be at the bank through April before he and his wife Robin relocate to Nashville, Tenn. Minnis, a Terre Haute native, will replace Eldredge as president in May. Minnis graduated from Indiana State University with B.S. and M.B.A. degrees and completed his Ph.D. in business administration from Saint Louis University.
• Linda Pfrank of Terre Haute has achieved Licensed Social Worker credentials from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency and Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Mental Health Counselor Board. She received her master’s of social work last year from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. She is the case worker for the Vermillion Parke Community Health Center in Clinton.
• Khaatim Boyd has joined Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Office of Institutional Advancement as assistant director of annual giving. He started his new position on Feb. 1.
In his new role, Boyd will supervise the college’s Phonathon fundraising campaign, senior class gift program and young alumni giving projects. He will assist other members of the development staff in meeting the college’s annual fundraising goals.
Boyd comes to Rose-Hulman after spending a year as the English Department chairman at the Masan Elementary School in Suwon, South Korea. He formerly assisted Ripon College’s Advancement Office, being one of the chief architects for the Wisconsin college’s remodeled Young Alumni Donor Campaign. He also served as a student representative for Ripon’s Alumni board of directors, was a member of the 2006 senior class fundraising board and has been an alumni fund volunteer for more than five years.
A Mississippi native, Boyd earned a bachelor’s degree in communication, with a minor in business administration, from Ripon College.
• On Feb. 18, Indiana State Police Superintendent Paul Whitesell, Ph.D. announced the reclassification of two troopers from the Terre Haute Post to detective, effective February 24, 2008. The troopers attained these positions upon completion of written testing and a competitive interview process.
Master Trooper Samuel J. Stearley, a 20-year veteran of the Indiana State Police Department, is a Clay County native having graduated from Brazil High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College. During his first two years on the department he was assigned to the Indiana Toll Road District. He then transferred to the Terre Haute District and patrolled Clay County for the past 18 years. Detective Stearley served four years on the Tactical Intervention Platoon and one year as a Field Training Officer. He is a past Speed Timing Device instructor and most recently a 15-year Firearms Instructor.
Detective Stearley is a father of four and he resides in Clay County.
Trooper Thomas C. Hanks, a 7-year veteran of the Indiana State Police Department, is a Sullivan County native having graduated from Sullivan High School and then Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology. During his first three years on the department he was assigned to the Lafayette District. He then transferred to the Terre Haute post and has patrolled Sullivan County for the past four years. He has served on the Tactical Intervention Platoon for seven years and as a Field Training Officer for three years.
Detective Hanks is married and has one son. The family resides in Sullivan.
The Terre Haute District currently has five criminal investigators, two criminal investigation supervisors and one crime scene technician for the District. The Terre Haute District is comprised of Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties.
• The Clabber Girl marketing and sales department is being renovated. Much like the building, the marketing department is experiencing expansion and restructuring. Lori Danielson leads the way as the new director of marketing, and Meredith Williams joins the team as product marketing manager. Danielson is formerly from Old National Bancorp, where she held several roles in her 25-year career in financial services. In 2002, she was promoted to her most recent position as chief marketing officer. Born and raised in Fairfield, Iowa, Danielson graduated from the University of Iowa, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in business and later earned her graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking in Wisconsin.
Williams comes to Clabber Girl from Regional Hospital where she was director of marketing and public relations and was later named the director of business development and public affairs. Originally from Lyons, Williams graduated from Purdue University with a degree in business management and received her master’s in business administration from Indiana State University.
Another addition to marketing and sales is Michael Fack as the new sales manager for the Foodservice Division. Fack’s experience includes positions with well-known food companies including Ocean Spray Cranberries, Fishking Processors Inc., and Campbell Soup Company. Most recently, he was zone sales manager at J.R. Simplot Company. Fack graduated with a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Southern Illinois University.
Clabber Girl is also expanding in other divisions. Joining the Clabber Girl Culinary Division as director of culinary and retail services is Joe Burch. Burch joined Clabber Girl in October after spending the past 17 years with Outback Steakhouse, the past 11 years acting as managing partner in the Terre Haute location. During that time, he was named partner of the year on three occasions.
Also joining the Clabber Girl team is Bryan Fortner in the newly developed position of facility engineer. In this new position, he will be responsible for evaluating production equipment and developing lean manufacturing processes. Fortner is formerly from Aisin Brake and Chassis, where he was a production engineer and also held positions at Sony DADC. He is a graduate of Vincennes University and is currently working on his bachelor of science degree at Indiana State University.
Clabber Girl is also pleased to welcome certified public accountant Kerri Price. She has an extensive background in accounting, including experience at BKD LLP in Evansville; Frasier, Dean & Howard PLLC in Nashville, Tenn.; and most recently worked in the tax department at Sackrider & Company, Inc. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Indiana State University.
President and Chief Operating Officer Gary Morris said he is excited about the new additions to the Clabber Girl family. “We will benefit from the varied experience and expertise of each of the new members to the Clabber Girl team,” Morris said. “Each of these individuals bring with them professionalism and new ideas that will contribute to the continued growth of our company.”
