Newton, Ill. — Norris Electric Cooperative will conduct its 70th annual meeting of members at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Newton Community High School in Newton, Ill. Official meeting notices have been mailed to the members.
As is tradition, the morning will begin with entertainment, this year by chorus members of the Redhill High School.
The business meeting will begin at 10:30 and two cash prizes of $75 will be awarded at the start of the meeting. After hearing from the board and management of happenings at the cooperative, members can exercise their right to vote for fellow members to serve on the cooperative’s board of directors.
Drawings for cash and door prizes will take place at the close of the meeting for those members present. Youth drawings for anyone under 21 will be for four MP3 players.
