TERRE HAUTE —
The tornado warning for parts of Vigo and Parke counties has been canceled.
The National Weather Service canceled the warning about 3:36 p.m. today. The storm that prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. However gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this storm, according to the weather service.
A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for southeastern Sullivan and western Greene counties until 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for most of central Indiana until 9 p.m.
