TERRE HAUTE —
There is a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for northern Vigo, southern Vermillion and southwestern Parke counties until 3:15 p.m. today.
There is also a tornado warning in effect in northeastern Clark County in Illinois until 2:45 p.m. eastern daylight time today, which is 1:45 p.m. in Illinois.
The National Weather Service detected a storm capable to producing a tornado six miles southwest of Marshall, Ill., at 2:10 p.m. eastern daylight time today.
Virtually all of central Indiana is also under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m.
At around 1:30 p.m. eastern daylight time, the National Weather Service detected a storm capable of producing quarter-size hail and winds in excess of 60 mph.
