FINAL NUMBERS: Burke, Bennett to vie again in general election

TERRE HAUTE — Terre Haute Democratic Mayor Kevin Burke and Republican challenger Duke Bennett easily won nominations Tuesday in the 2007 primary election with all of the precints reporting by 7:20 p.m..
Burke pulled in 5,074 votes, well ahead of his closest challenger, former police chief Jim Horrall with 3,584. Bennett collected 673 votes to easily dispatched GOP hopeful John Wayne 'Duke' Cunningham with 150 votes.
