Abbondanza offers abundance of food, entertainment

TERRE HAUTE — Abbondanza means abundance in Italian, and organizers hope that’s exactly what guests will find at the all new Abbondanza on Aug. 3. The party promises to provide an abundance of both food and entertainment. Abbondanza will offer music on all three floors of the Ohio Building. Bands performing are Just Us, the Dave Frisse Band and Island Breeze.

This year, all food is being provided by Valley restaurants. Again, there will be an abundance of sweets and savories. Fourteen local restaurants will donate specialties for the event.

Tables and a cash bar will be set up on each of three floors. From 6 to 11 p.m., guests will have an opportunity to sample refreshments, listen or dance to music and socialize as they move from floor to floor. A silent auction also is planned.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Vigo County Historical Society and United Way of the Wabash Valley.

Tickets for Abbondanza are $55 per person. Tables of 10 are $500. Both may be obtained by calling (812) 235-9717.
