Bennett wins re-election in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE — Incumbent Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett won a resounding re-election victory Tuesday night.

Unofficial results gave Bennett, the Republican, 7,146 votes to Democrat Fred Nation’s 3,223.

In other results:

• Sarah K. Mullican (D) won re-election at Terre Haute Judge with 5,724 votes over Christopher J. Dailey (R) with 4,346.

• In City Council District 1, Amy Auler (D) defeated Christopher E. Knew (R) 786 to 659.

• In City Council District 2: Robert All (R) got 1,846 votes to defeat Patrick Ralston (D) with 1,574 votes.

• In City Council District 3: Norman E. (Norm) Loudermilk (D) won re-election with 842 votes over challenger Robert L. Flott (R) with 688 votes.

• In City Council District 6: John Mullican (D) got 843 votes to defeat Lonnie Moody II (R) with 473 votes.
