Two new Brent Long memorial items in time for today's National Night Out

TERRE HAUTE — The Terre Haute Police Department has two new items for sale to benefit the Officer Brent Long fundraiser, available in time for the Terre Haute National Night Out celebration scheduled 5 to 9 p.m. today in Fairbanks Park.

In addition to the original memorial wristband for $2, the new items include a window decal for $5 and a bumper sticker for $5.

The new items also will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Terre Haute Police Department Records Division.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Long family and assist in the construction of a permanent memorial for fallen THPD Officer Brent D. Long.

The Terre Haute Police Department reminds citizens that the items sold during National Night Out and at the Terre Haute Police Department are the only items authorized by the Long family and the Terre Haute Police Department. Any other items offered for sale in the name of Brent Long have not been authorized by the family or the police department.
