Shelburn native publishes first book ‘Adventure Walks and Monkey Talks’

Shelburn native Dickson Hunley published his first book, “Adventure Walks and Monkey Talks,” in late October.

The book details the life lessons that a man learns while spending time caring for and bonding with a 4-year-old boy. Some of the lessons are deep and thought provoking while others are whimsical and will make readers laugh. All of the lessons are aimed to teach how to make life and the lives of others better.

“It was a challenging, wonderful, growing and learning experience writing this book. I hope that [readers] take away from reading this book the same positive feelings and personal growth that I got while writing it,” Hunley said.

Hunley grew up in Shelburn where he went to grade school at Shelburn Elementary before attending and graduating from North Central High School in Farmersburg. He now lives in Fort Myers, Fla., where he works as a business consultant and is a contributing writer for Spot Magazine. He is now working on a second book with a tentative publish date of early 2013.

Hunley can be contacted through his website (www.DHH2.com) or email at info@DHH2.com. Also, stay up to date on news and events by liking the book’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AdventureWalksandMonkeyTalks.

The book is available in soft cover and e-book format at www.DHH2.com and on iTunes as an iBook.
