Diamond Hill Station plans fan day

FARMERSBURG — Wabash Valley bluegrass band Diamond Hill Station will toast its followers with its eighth annual fan appreciation day on April 6 at the Legends Restaurant on U.S. 41 South in Farmersburg.

The activities begin at noon. The event is open to the public — all ages — and there is no admission charge.

The Deaton Family band will perform at 12:30 p.m., followed by Diamond Hill Station at 1:30.

The Legends will offer food specials on its menu that day. Door prizes and a 50-50 are also planned.

The well-known Diamond Hill Station recently recorded “Wabash Cannonball” for the 2013 Year of the River project album, “The Wabash,” a compilation of new original and classic songs about the river, with proceeds funding a riverside sculpture honoring composer Paul Dresser. Fans can hear a sample of the band’s rendition of “Wabash Cannonball” or download it digitally at cdbaby.com/cd/
