CHARLESTON, Ill. —
Lincoln Trail College Director of Theater Barbara Shimer has announced the cast of the college’s spring production of “Hello Dolly.”
The play will performed April 5, 6, 7, 12 and 13 in LTC’s Zwermann Arts Center Theater. Ticket sales to the public begin today.
Written by Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart, this classic Tony Award-winning musical is based on “The Matchmaker” by Thornton Wilder and tells the story of a New York matchmaker, Dolly Levi, who sets her own cap for her half-a-millionaire client, Horace Vandegelder.
The roles of Dolly Levi and Horace Vandegelder will be played by Jolie Finkbiner and Ken Strieby. Steven Bruce will play Cornelius Hackl, with Justin Richards appearing as his sidekick, Barnaby. The role of Mrs. Irene Molloy will be portrayed by Kathleen Moore, and her shop assistant, Minnie, by Amy Judy. Dana Wachtel will play Ernestina, and Brennen Tracy appears as Ambrose Kemper. Lauren Wiseman appears as Kemper’s fiancé, Ermengarde.
The production is under the musical direction of Jeshua Franklin and Jim Rogers, Technical director is Larry Quick, and costumers are Cary Schiller and Mary Arabatgis.
