‘92 County Art Show’ at Honeywell Center in Wabash seeks artwork

The Honeywell Center in Wabash will begin receiving artwork to be judged for its “92 County Art Show” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 in the center’s Legacy Hall.

The show, sponsored by Robert and Ines Gillespie with additional funding from Wabash County Arts Council, will be on display Feb. 6 through March 4.

For 19 years, the Honeywell Center’s Clark Gallery has hosted the “9 County Art Show,” featuring the works of artists in nine counties surrounding the center. The exhibit’s 20th year will invite artists residing in all 92 Indiana counties to enter their best work for a chance to win the competition. Any medium except photography can be entered. The entry fee is $20 and allows each participant up to three entries.

Entry forms and guidelines are available at the Honeywell Center’s Clark Gallery or online at www.honeywellcenter.org.

An award reception is planned for 7 p.m. March 4 for those participating in the competition. The competition’s judges will be on hand to present awards to winning artists. Art receptions are free and open to the public; those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by emailing clarkgallery@honeywellcenter.org.  Questions concerning the competition may be directed to the same email address or by calling Clark Gallery manager Andrea Zwiebel at 260-563-1102 ext. 501.

The Honeywell Center hosts more than 3,000 events and 150,000 visitors annually.

Concerts, conferences, charity galas, art exhibits and educational outreach programs are among the diverse events at the center. All programs and activities are supported by gifts from individuals, businesses, the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

For a complete program listing, visit the Honeywell Center website at www.honeywellcenter.org or call 260-563-1102.
