TERRE HAUTE —
The CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center is offering free boxes of 12 holiday peace cards to visitors until the end of the year to promote understanding and communication throughout the holiday season.
Cards feature contest-winning drawings by regional students from grades 1-12. Students’ and schools’ names are printed on the inside with a holiday message.

Skateboarding event to raise money for park
On-board United Initiative (OUI), a skateboarding community action group, is hosting a fundraiser for the Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Voorhees Park at Voorhees Street and Prairieton Road.
Friday is National Go Skateboarding Day. -

The Terre Haute Community Band will perform during a free concert, “River Pirates & Ruffians,” with pre-concert activities at 7 p.m. and the concert at 8 on Saturday at Fairbanks Park.

Watermark Landing dedication set for June 23
The Watermark Landing dedication will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairbanks Park.
The installation site is near the YWCA, opposite the playground. The program will be followed by refreshments. In case of rain, the dedication will be in the Girl Scout building. -
