TERRE HAUTE —
Community Theatre of Terre Haute is in the final days of rehearsal for “The Constant Wife,” written by W. Somerset Maugham. Sandra Groves is directing the play, featuring Jude Ciancone in the title role. Set in a 1926 London drawing room, this comedy of manners follows Constance Middleton as the reality of her husband’s affair with her best friend is revealed. Maugham was ahead of his time when he wrote a modern play of a woman’s right to equality through financial freedom.
The play opens Feb. 15, with additional performances on Feb. 16-17 and Feb. 22-24. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth and students.
