Community Theatre of Clay County’s upcoming auditions for its Young Actors’ performance of “OZ!” will be at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 2 and 3. Auditions will be at The Lark Theater at 8 E. National Ave., in Brazil.
The timeless “Wizard of OZ” tale has been adapted into a dazzling musical. A cyclone carries Dorothy and Toto to the magical Land of Oz. All of the lovable characters — Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion and Tin Woodsman — join Dorothy on a journey to meet the great Oz.
While on their trek, they battle the Wicked Witch of the West, who is determined to get revenge for the death of her sister. This bright musical is charged with wonderful songs and thrill after thrill.
All children, ages 6-15, who attend, will receive a part.
Group auditions will include singing and speaking as a group. Anyone interested in doing a solo audition is welcome. The production will be Feb. 15-17.
