Boxing tournament at Ryves Center

TERRE HAUTE — The Regional Silver Gloves Boxing Championship is coming up Dec. 1 and 2 at Ryves Youth Center, 1356 Locust St.  

Tickets are $10 per day for adults or $5 per day for children.

Boxing has been a tradition in west-central Indiana, dating back decades. This tradition continues with the Indiana Silver Gloves Tournament being staged at Ryves Youth Center.  

Boxers from across Indiana will compete in the Junior (10-11 years old), Intermediate (12-13 years old), and Senior (14-15 years old) divisions. All weight classes will participate in five-pound weight increments.  

Matches will begin at 1 p.m. Dec. 1 and at noon Dec. 2; doors open one hour prior to the matches. A variety of matches are scheduled for each day. Tickets will be available at the door or in advance.  

Sponsorship levels are available beginning at $50. All sponsorship levels include tickets and a listing in the program. For sponsor or ticket information contact Jim Edwards at Ryves Youth Center at 812-235-1265.
