TERRE HAUTE —
Lizzy Long has paired up with Little Roy Lewis from the legendary Lewis Family to create a sound of tradition with a twist. The duo will perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Union Christian Church, 5350 E. Hulman Drive.
Elizabeth Long, or Lizzy as her friends and fans know her, was born on a farm in Lincolnton, Ga. She began her music accomplishments at an early age, starting out on the piano; she then took up the fiddle, guitar, autoharp, bass, banjo and mandolin. Long has been nominated for three Dove Awards and has won several fiddle and talent contests.
Lewis has won awards as an entertainer and for his banjo playing. The song “Good Time Get-Together” was written to highlight his instrumental skills. He also sings, plays many instruments, tell stories and acts.
