Emmis Radio launches 2 stations

TERRE HAUTE — Wabash Valley listeners now have two new radio stations: WFNB 92.7 BOB-FM, formerly WSDM-FM, and WFNF-AM 1130, THE FAN, formerly WSDX-AM. Both of these stations have been simulcasting ESPN Radio for the past few years and will now offer something different for radio listening.

The station 1130 THE FAN continues to broadcast ESPN programs like Mike and Mike, Colin Cowherd and Scott Van Pelt as well as men’s college football and basketball, the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball.

THE FAN will also be announcing in the coming weeks a new afternoon drive call-in show as well as area high school sporting events that will be broadcast later this year.

The station 92.7 BOB-FM plays many styles of music programmed by “Bob.” Bob is a typical guy who is tired of the repetition he hears on radio today so he has decided to lend his musical playlist for everyone in the Wabash Valley to enjoy.

Both stations are currently managed under a local marketing agreement by Emmis Communications in Terre Haute. Emmis Communications currently owns and operates WTHI-FM/HI-99, The Wabash Valley’s Country Station, and 105.5 The River, The Wabash Valley’s Rock Station, in Terre Haute.
