Warren wins USAC regional midget race at Anderson

Anderson — Jeremy Warren was the feature winner in U.S. Auto Club regional midget racing Friday at Anderson Speedway.

Warren led all 30 laps in the main. Mario Marietta won his heat and was fifth in the main; he is sixth in the point totals.

Fast qualifier — Brian Olson

Heat winners — Mario Marietta, Tate Martz

Feature — Jeremy Warren, Alison MacLeod, Olson, Kyle Hamilton, Marietta, Martz, Chris Phillips, Samantha Tayler, Danielle Dickson, Zach Daum



In other racing:

• Whitt wins — At Minersville, Pa., Cole Whitt won the second feature Thursday on the U. S. Auto Club Eastern Tour for sprint cars.

Whitt led from start to finish in the 30-lap main with sprint points leader Dave Darland second and Levi Jones third.

The tour resumes tonight.

• Racing slated — At Marshall, Ill., horse racing is scheduled this week as part of the Clark County Fair.

Harness racing is set for Monday and Tuesday night and thoroughbreds will race Wednesday afternoon.
