Covered Bridge artists to showcase works at fairgrounds during festival

ROCKVILLE — On Saturday and Sunday and March 6 and 7, artists from the Art Gallery will be at the fairgrounds in Rockville to help celebrate the Maple Syrup Festival. About a dozen members will be participating.

Their work will be on display and most will be demonstrating their craft, including oils, watercolor, colored pencil and jewelry. Photography will also be available. Artists always enjoy hearing the thoughts and discussion of their work, both the pro and con, and everyone likes watching and seeing the product produced. Stop by and chat.

The Art Gallery is on the north side of the square in downtown Rockville and will be open daily (except Tuesdays) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. The membership consists of more than 30 local artists

There will be plenty to see and do. A big attraction is the historical building. It is light and airy, with the original pressed tin ceiling, beautiful hardwood floors and antique hardware.
