Vincennes University art gallery exhibit opens with reception on Tuesday

VINCENNES — “Material Witness,” an exhibition of works by artists John Berry, Emily Gherard, Erika Hess, Allyson Smith, Abraham Storer, Aron Wehr and Caleb Weintraub, will open on Tuesday at Vincennes University’s Shircliff Gallery of Art. The exhibit will continue through Oct. 27.

A reception for the artists will take place in the Gallery at 11 a.m., and the artists will speak at 2  p.m. in Shircliff Auditorium. Admission to the Gallery, the reception, and the presentation is free and the public is invited to attend.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays; and noon to 3 p.m. on Sundays, or by arrangement. Shircliff Gallery of Art is located at First and Harrison streets inside the Shircliff Humanities Center.
