Sisters of Providence artist to exhibit work

TERRE HAUTE — Sister Jody O'Neil, artist in residence for the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, will have some of her artistic creations on display and available for purchase during two upcoming art shows.

From Nov. 11 through Nov. 13, Sister Jody will be an exhibitor at the Indiana Conference for Catechetical Leaders (ICCL) at the Marten House Hotel and Lilly Center at 1801 W. 86th St. in Indianapolis.  

She will show a series of 12 matted and framed photos taken in Rome at Mother Theodore's Canonization, a limited edition of Giclée prints of her water media collage piece titled, "Her Spirit Prevails" (an image of St. Mother Theodore Guerin she completed for the  canonization in Rome), paper sculptures and photo and print greeting cards.

From Nov. 16 through Nov. 18, Sister Jody will be an exhibitor at the Evansville Fine Art Show at The Centre, 715 Locust St., Evansville. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.     

Sister Jody plans to exhibit 14 canvases of both white on white and white with a touch of color paintings ranging in size from 12 inches square to 36 inches by 60 inches, and print cards.
