River City Summer Show is Aug. 11

TERRE HAUTE — River City Art Association’s fourth annual Fine Art Show will be Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Covered Bridge Girl Scout Center, 1100 Girl Scouts Lane, in Terre Haute.

The show is open to all artists 18 years of age or older.

Two- and three-dimensional work and photographic art must be original, completed within the past three years by the entrant and not previously entered into an RCAA art show.

Categories include: ink/pencil/pastel; watercolor/oil/and acrylic; mixed media/wood/other; and photography/digital art.

Awards will be given in each category: The top award will be the Marty Martinez Best of Show contributor award ($100 and a plaque). There will be a Peoples Choice Award and an Artist Choice Award. In addition, there will be first- and second-place awards in each category. First place in the first category is $60 each. Second place in the second category is $30 each category. Honorable mentions will be given in each category.

Show hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
