Art Faculty Exhibition set to open at ISU’s University Art Gallery

TERRE HAUTE —

View recent works by eight Indiana State University studio faculty and instructors in the annual Department of Art Faculty Exhibition, which will be on display Monday through Oct. 21. Participants include SAMy Anderson, Chester Burton, Glenn Dunlap, Daniel Evans, Fran Lattanzio, Nancy Nichols-Pethick, Brad Venable and Sala Wong. Meet the artists at a reception in the University Art Gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 14. This diverse exhibition includes paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, graphic design, video and ceramics. Among the highlights are a 69-by-120-inch lenticular print by sculpture and printmaking instructor Chester Burton from his American Adam and Eve series; Portraits of Light by photography professor Fran Lattanzio; abstract expressionist wood-fired ceramic forms by adjunct instructor Daniel Evans; and video documentation of a site-specific, media-based, urban intervention by digital art professor Sala Wong. The exhibition and reception are free. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The gallery will also be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 7.
