TERRE HAUTE —
Take a break from the hot sun and visit Deming Park’s Torner Center from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on July 31. Together as friends and family, make beautiful clay masterpieces. This event is sure to capture the essence of what it is like to be a clay artist both in sculpting and pottery wheel.
Mabel Morris’ vast range of experience offers fun techniques that will make our first or experienced impressions with clay very exciting. Her career in clay began much like an Art Totality event. Morris always wanted to try working with clay, then an opportunity arose for her to try it when her daughter was in Girl Scouts. Thirteen years later, Morris finds herself still loving the art of working with clay. She is currently an accomplished artist and instructor at the Torner Center. Her work will be on display and for sale at the conclusion of the event.
Families and friends have their choice of what they want to do with clay: throw a pot on the pottery wheel (recommended for those 10 years or older) or sculpt (all ages). Some may want to do more than one piece or mix what they learn for the day. For a complete list of activities, visit www.arttotality.com.
