Vigo County Library features watercolors by River City artist

TERRE HAUTE — River City Art Association and the Vigo County Public Library present artist Jim Tabor during the month of March.

On display are watercolor paintings featuring Tabor’s favorite subjects: barns, birds and animals. Tabor has a great love of nature and has traveled in many western states and Canada. He likes to share his efforts, often giving work to friends.

Tabor studied art at Indiana State University. He also was tutored by good friend and landscape artist Roy Muncie.

Tabor and wife Suzanne live on a lake south of Center Point in Clay County. They are retired managers of a local Sherwin-Williams store. Tabor would like to encourage anyone letting their talent lay dormant to get involved with a local art group and use their gift.

For more information about this artist or River City Art Association, visit rcaa.info or call (812) 878-1252. The group meets the second Tuesday of the month in The Landing at Fort Harrison or Hein’s flower shop at Seventh and Walnut streets. Other members’ art work may be viewed at The Landing at Fort Harrison or the Golden Frame at 509 E. Voorhees in Terre Haute.
