Brown County’s T.C. Steele State Historic Site plans watercolor workshop

NASHVILLE, IND. — Are you an aspiring watercolor artist? Come discover the art of watercolors at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site in the heart of artistic Brown County from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 7.

Join the site staff as they host a watercolor workshop inspired by the T.C. Steele grounds with Brown County artist Shelley Frederick.

This workshop is in T.C. Steele’s large studio. Fredrick will give a demonstration, teach techniques, discuss photographing and working from images along with reworking paintings. She will follow these subjects with an individual help and critique session. Participants must bring their own supplies.

Cost per person is $30 with a $3 discount for Friends of T.C. Steele members. Registration is required; space is limited. Register at www.tcsteele.org. For more information or a supply list e-mail tcsteeleshs@dnr.in.gov or call (812) 988-2785.
