3. VILLAGES WIPED OUT FROM SOUTH PACIFIC TSUNAMI

At least nine bodies, including a child's, were found in the sodden wreckage on the Solomon Islands, and five villages were decimated.

4. IRAN REJECTS NUCLEAR TALKS WITH US
