Stadler’s Barber Shop offers a trip back in time
You can’t miss it. Drive down Maple Avenue around 19th Street and you’ll hear and see Stadler’s Barber Shop. You’ll see the colorful advertising outside the little barber shop building. Then you’ll hear the gospel music blasting through loud speakers outside. “You can hear me before you ever see me,” said Art Stadler, 64, who has been cutting hair for the past 45 years in Terre Haute. “That runs all day long,” he said speaking of the gospel music and Christian preaching coming through the outdoor loud speakers.
