WEATHER ALERT: Freezing rain leads to cancellations, school delays

Vigo County Schools on 2-hour delay Wednesday morning

TERRE HAUTE — Vigo County School Corp. has canceled all event and activities, including classes after 5 p.m. today due to icy road conditions. The school corporation will be on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, with no morning kindergarten classes.

• In Illinois, the boys basketball games of Neoga at Casey-Westfield have been canceled due to forecast of freezing rain. No decision has been made at this time for a rescheduled date.

• Also, the girls basketball game of Casey-Westfield at Brownstown has also been canceled.

• Tuesday night's Rose-Hulman women's basketball game vs. Robert Morris-Springfield has been postponed. The two teams will attempt to reschedule the contest if a common date can be found.

• Indiana State Police report they are working several weather-related accidents.
